The legendary pioneers of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson, signed a deal with Vivo Management thet will bring their band Oliver/Dawson Saxon in Italy for 3 unique gigs at the Target Club in Bari, at thel Palarockness in Genzano di Roma (RM) and at the Sonar in Colle Val D’Elsa (SI).
The line-up of ODS is a very awesome one, in fact, on Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson's side, there are some other prestigious musicians: the guitarist Haydn Conway (used to be with Graham and Steve in the band Son Of A Bitch) the american singer John "Wardi" Ward (that has been also with Slash's Snakepit, House of Lords, Hurricane and more) and the ex Saxon Nigel Durham on the drums.
At the beginning the band was simply called “Saxon”, 'cause Dawson and Oliver, being founder members of the band from Yorkshire, used to consider themselves the only owners of that name. After a legal dispute with Biff Byford (original singer of Saxon) won by Biff, the name has been changed in Oliver/Dawson Saxon.
An awesome Opening Act!
As if Oliver Dawson Saxon coming to Italy wouldn't be enough, There will be also one of the greatest Italian Metal Bands opening the three gigs in Bari, Rome and Siena: the amazing Rain!
That will be explosive! You can already imagine the three stages at the Target
